What do the lights on my Avent breast pump mean?

There are different indicator lights found on the pump motor of your Philips Avent Essential electric breast pump. These symbols provide important status information about the device. A description of each light and its meaning can be found below.

Display flashes 3 times, and device turns off

Suppose your Philips Avent Essential electric breast pump shuts down after the display flashes three times. In that case, it may indicate that the device is not connected to a correct power source. 

Ensure the pump is connected to a power source using the USB cable provided, and then turn it on again. The breast pump is best paired with a USB port of 5 V with an output of 1A or higher.

Light on the control panel is always on

Does the light on your Philips Avent breast pump's control panel continuously light up? If so, it means the device is connected to a power source with too high a voltage.

Ensure that you are using the original USB cable provided with the device. The breast pump is best paired with a USB port of 5 V with an output of 1A or higher.

Lights flash in a regular pattern

Do the lights on the control panel of your Philips Avent Essential electric breast pump flash in a regular, cyclical pattern? If so, the power supply has a poor current.

Ensure you are using the original USB cable that came with the device. The breast pump is best paired with a USB port of 5 V with an output of 1A or higher.
