Having used a Philips 5000 Series iron before, I thought I already had a good solution for my ironing needs. However, testing the Philips PerfectCare 7000 Series has shown me how much difference powerful steam can make. One of my favourite things is how quickly the iron heats up and how efficiently it handles creased clothes. Ironing a bigger load feels much quicker because the steam helps smooth the fabric without needing as many repeated passes. The SteamGlide Elite soleplate moves smoothly over clothing, making the whole process feel easier and more comfortable. Another feature I find particularly useful is the ability to refresh clothes while they are hanging up. It is a great time-saver when something only needs a quick freshen-up rather than a full ironing session. OptimalTEMP also makes switching between different garments more convenient. Overall, the Series 7000 has impressed me with its speed, steam performance and versatility, and it has made me appreciate the benefits of a steam generator iron.

This is a replacement for the one I had for 10 years! Really light but will say very noisy - my old one didn't make as much noise .

I’m replacing with a similar iron that has packed up after 5 years This is an Amazing iron, it’s so light and makes ironing quick and easy, that I actually enjoy ironing. Will always buy a Philips iron, as they are such good quality

I bought this steam generator iron to replace an iron that had stopped working, I was very apprehensive at first as it was a lit pf money and I had never spent that amount of money on an iron before. I' glad I did as I love it, it makes ironing a joy to do and an absolute breeze. This is by far the best iron I have ever had and I would recommend it to anybody thatlikes their clothes looking sarp and crease free.

After my previous Phillips steam iron gave up the ghost after 20 years of loyal service. I decided to replace it with the newest Phillips iron and I’m so glad I did, it really does ‘glide’ and is so much faster than my Previous one, it is expensive but well worth while. Definitely recommend it.

All works OK, plenty of steam, irons well. The biggest downfall is the poorly designed cable storage, non existent for the power cable and poor for the steam cable

I bought this to replace my PerfectCare Silence steam generator iron, which is no longer manufactured. This generates more steam BUT (and this is the reason for the three star rating) it drips! I work primarily on wedding dresses and this iron can be unreliable when it starts up. It’s absolutely great for cottons/linens etc . It’s also quite noisy when it’s heating up. Overall, it’s ok but that’s all.

I'm guessing most other reviews are after a few days or weeks of using. We loved it for 2 years but at this price point... it should last. Ours has been used once a week for family ironing. Then it completely packed up. Stopped working and Philips charge too much for repair. I would not recommend to buy it given the short lifespan.
