- Switch off and unplug your Air Cooker.
- Prepare the descaling solution by dissolving 1 tablespoon of citric acid in ≈35 ml of water (citric acid can be bought in supermarkets or drug stores).
- Pour the solution in the cooking chamber and let it work for ≈5 minutes. You will see how the solution dissolves the limescale.
- Wipe out the solution with a soft cloth and dry the cooking chamber afterwards.
- To maintain the non-stick capability of the coating, we recommend oiling the coating of the cooking chamber after each cleaning, especially after cleaning or descaling with detergents, e.g. citric acid. To do so, pour a few drops of neutral and heat-resistant vegetable oil (e.g. refined sunflower oil, refined rapeseed oil) in the cooking chamber and evenly spread it over the whole coating using a kitchen paper towel or other dry cloth.
Note:
You can also use ≈35 ml of Philips espresso machine descaler CA6700 (if available in your country). Do not use a descaling liquid based on sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfamic or acetic acid (vinegar) as this may damage your appliance and not dissolve the limescale properly.
