Tabbouleh

Try our healthy Tabbouleh salad recipe prepared with Philips OnionChef.

Ingredients

  • 4 Bunch of parsley (To make 12 cups of chopped ingredients)
  • ½ Bunch of fresh mint (To make 1 cup of chopped fresh mint)
  • 2 Medium sized tomatoes
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of salt
  • 1 Green onion
  • ½ Cup of olive oil
  • 5 Tablespoons of fine bulgur
  • 1 Teaspoon of dried mint

Directions

  • Wash and soak bulgur in water for an hour then strain and set aside.
  • In Philips onion chef, chop the onion then set aside in a separate bowl and mix with black pepper. Chop the tomatoes in Philips onion chef and place over onions.
  • Replace the blade and remove the onion basket from the Philips onion chef.
  • Chop the green onions and place over the onion mixture.
  • Place the parsley in batches in the Philips Onion chef and chop (make sure not to over chop it). Repeat the same steps with the fresh mint leaves.
  • Add the chopped parsley and mint to the tomatoes and onions mixture, then add the strained bulgur. Add all the other remaining ingredients, make sure all ingredients are well combined.
  • Adjust seasoning according to taste and serve!
