Great machine Would recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used quite a few air fryers over the years, I wasn't expecting this one to be quite as impressive as it is! After several weeks of testing, the Philips 5000 Series has definitely become my favourite.
What really sets it apart is the flexibility of the baskets. Being able to switch between a 6L and 3L cooking space and one large 9.5L basket is incredibly convenient. With three adults and a child to feed, having that extra space makes preparing dinner so much easier.
I've also noticed a difference in the cooking performance. The RapidAir technology gives food a beautifully crispy, golden finish, and meals seem to cook approximately two minutes faster than with my previous air fryers. The steam features are another welcome addition, helping food stay juicy and tender rather than drying out.
Cleaning is fairly straightforward thanks to the SteamClean function, although it isn't completely hands-free. I've found that removing some of the grease beforehand gives much better results.
The only downside for me is how much counter space it takes up. It's certainly not a small appliance, so that's something worth considering if kitchen space is limited.
Despite its size, I think it's a brilliant addition to the kitchen. The versatility, cooking performance and convenience make it well worth recommending, especially for families!

A True Kitchen Workhorse
This is a big upgrade from my old trusty air fryer also a Philips. One of the original ones when air fryers started coming out. That old fryer does only one thing - air fry. This new and much bigger machine can do everything I need in a kitchen. Fry, bake, heat and my favourite feature , steam. And it even combines steaming with frying resulting in crispy outer but still juicy inner. It has 2 baskets and it self cleans too. What more do you need!

Absolutely satisfrying:)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally a decent sized airfryer that comfortably accomodates a a roast with the sides, or a whole pizza (had to cut into half and play a little, but I managed to fit it in.) It is very convenient that it allows you to use it as one large or two separate compartment, so you can control the temperature and time setting either as one large unit or two separate onea. And if you choose the latter (it can be done easily with the divider included), they are still big enough to cook for a family of four in one round. I love the steam function, it made my roast chicken's skin so crispy but the meat inside was juicy. Also the veggies were tender next to it and not dry at all. The touch buttons give it a clean look that's easy to maintain, the basket cleaning is also a breeze. I grow to love this airfryer so much, it saves me so much time and effort and I'm still able to cook hearty and healthy dinners for my family, while getting to spend more time with them. The only thing that might need some improvement, is the handle which could use some grippy surface or something and it's a bit tricky to open with one hand.

Great product
SteamFry: Does it produce crispy exteriors while keeping food tender and juicy inside?
- Yes my food was kept moist and crispy outside when I used this feature, I think I needed to cook it for slightly shorter as the outside of my food was slightly too crispy but I will just alter the cooking time next time.
Steam function: Does it help keep food moist and flavorful?
Yes, my food was kept moist and flavourful which was really good.
RapidAir Plus: Does it deliver evenly cooked, crispy results with minimal oil?
Yes my food cooked very evenly, was just the right level of crispiness and I used no oil. I liked the shake reminder feature as it made sure that I remembered.
Dual baskets & Sync function: How easy is it to cook different dishes simultaneously using the 6L + 3L baskets and Sync function?
The dual basket was good to cook different foods at different tempuratures. It did take me some time to work out the sync function
Healthier cooking: Does the appliance reduce the need for added oil?
Yes I didn't on oil on a lot of my food as it effectively reduced the need for this
Ease of use: How easy are the cooking modes and controls to operate?
The controls were easy to operate. It took me a little bit of getting used to all of the buttons. The user manual after scanning the qr code on the physical manual was really helpful to know what each button did. I liked that it was touchscreen.
SteamClean & cleaning: How effectively does the automatic SteamClean function remove residue, and how easy is the appliance to clean?
The steam clean was really good, it made cleaning a lot easier. The appliance was easy to clean. The mirror finish did show fingerprint marks quite easily but these could be wiped off.
Build quality & everyday use: How well is the appliance built, and does it meet expectations for everyday cooking?
It met all of my expectations and needs but it did take a while to get used to all of the buttons but was good to have them all available.

A brilliant upgrade from our old air fryer
We had a standard air fryer before getting the Philips SteamFry, and the difference is amazing. It’s much more spacious, and I find food cooks quicker, which is a big help when making meals for the family. Chicken breast with the skin on comes out lovely and crispy, and it’s great for roasting vegetables too. I’ve also been using the steam function to cook seabass, so there’s so much you can do with it. The two baskets are really handy for cooking different foods at the same time, and the Sync function is easy to use. It’s simple to operate and just as useful for making a quick lunch as it is for a full family dinner. The SteamClean function is another big plus because it lifts the residue and makes cleaning so much easier. It’s a brilliant upgrade from our old air fryer, and I’m still discovering all the different things I can make with it.

Philips 5000 series Airfryer dual basket steam
I use a Airfryer daily and I was really keen to see how the steam function would compare and I have really enjoyed using the Airfryer.
The chicken came out lovely and crispy on the outside while staying really juicy and tender inside. I also tried vegetables using the steam function and they stayed moist and full of flavour rather than drying out, which was a real bonus.
I cooked French fries with absolutely no added oil and they were ready in around 7 minutes. They were crispy on the outside but still lovely and fluffy inside. In fact, I didn't need to add oil to anything I cooked, including meat and vegetables, which made me feel like I was cooking healthier meals without sacrificing the taste or texture.
The dual baskets are also really useful. The 6L and 3L baskets give you plenty of flexibility to cook different foods at the same time. This is particularly useful when you're cooking a family meal and don't want one part of the meal sitting around getting cold while the other finishes.
I found the controls very easy to understand and set up. The HomeID app is also helpful when you first get the Airfryer, as it takes you through the setup and has plenty of recipes and ideas to try. I found this useful for getting familiar with the different functions.
The SteamClean function is another feature I really like. It makes cleaning easier and helps prevent grease and residue from building up inside, which is especially useful when you are using the Airfryer regularly.
The only thing I would mention is the size. It is a fairly large appliance and does need a good amount of worktop space, so it may not be ideal for a small kitchen. However, for a family and for everyday cooking, I think the size and dual baskets are worth it.
Overall, I think this is a really versatile Airfryer. The combination of steam and Airfrying genuinely impressed me, particularly with how crispy food can be while still keeping meat juicy and vegetables moist. I also loved being able to cook without adding oil. For someone who uses an Airfryer regularly and wants to make everyday cooking easier, this is definitely an appliance I would recommend.

Amazing fryer
This is a product. I am incredibly happy with. All of my friends and family members have given me a huge amount of compliments on this particular air fryer. I have used it now and I have found that I can make so many different things with this air fryer and the fact that it is too chamber makes things really easy. It has so many different settings and it cooks food pretty much perfectly. This is a huge upgrade compared to my previous air fryer and I can imagine that this will last me several years. I'm really impressed and I can't imagine anything else better than this. It looks great in the kitchen and I think that this is a products that I'm going to recommend to all of my friends and family. I am incredibly happy.

Superb machine
I absolutely love this product,it steams vegetables perfectly best carrots ive ever tasted.Steam airfried a whole chicken the meat was succulent and tender and skin nice and crispy.Roast potatoes turned out delicious with a limited amount of oil brushed over them. The clean function seems to work however for greasy items I'd rather hand clean.Tried cooking a cake on the preset cake function and it turned out excellent.Having used airfryers for a few years this machine is by far and away the best the build quality is very good and it looks amazing on my counter top also it is incredibly quiet I would definitely recommend this appliance

Easy and convenient way to cook at home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying using the Philips airfryer 5000 series Megabasket with steam. I have been using it to prepare crispy snacks and different dinners for my family. The food comes out lovely and crispy and I can cook with less oil. I like the large basket because it gives me enough space to prepare food for the whole family. It is easy to use and makes cooking much more convenient, especially on busy days. I also like that I can try different recipes and cook a variety of meals in one appliance. The steam function is a useful extra feature. Cleaning after cooking is simple which is always a big plus for me. It is great for preparing quick snacks when the family feels hungry and for making everyday dinners. Overall I am happy with this airfryer and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy and convenient way to cook at home.

Perfectly suited to busy family life with a 4yo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a family of three, including a four-year-old, we wanted an air fryer that could handle everything from small lunches to larger family meals without being complicated to use. The Philips 5000 Series Megabasket has been excellent for this.
The interchangeable basket setup is probably my favourite everyday feature. Being able to cook a small portion in the 3L section, use the larger 6L section or remove the divider entirely for a massive 9.5L basket is incredibly convenient. Switching configurations takes seconds.
We’ve used it for cooking meals, reheating leftovers, warming bagels and toasting buns for lunch. It’s also been great for fish, chips and vegetables, with consistent cooking results across our different uses.
Another thing that surprised us was how quiet it is. When running just the smaller basket, it’s barely noticeable.
Cleaning is refreshingly straightforward thanks to the SteamClean function. It helps loosen food residue, so we’ve generally only needed to give everything a rinse afterwards.
There is one thing worth being aware of, though. Steam is released from the rear during cleaning, and when we initially positioned ours close to the wall, it left a small mark. I’d definitely recommend leaving adequate space behind it.
Despite that minor issue, it’s a really practical, well-designed appliance that fits brilliantly into our family routine. It’s a very large machine, I prefer the format of this rather than the tall ones you might struggle to fit in a cupboard or on the side but it’s large enough that it might need some storage consideration.
